MEETING THE REMEDIATION-FREE GOAL IN TECH PREP
One goal of career-technical education is for students to make the transition to college remediation free. Heres a reminder of some support available to help your students meet that goal:
- Review and career development activities that help students build math and English skills are available at the Tech Prep Consortium web site.
College Readiness Toolkit
- Math 101 - Last year, 89 MVTPC students passed Math 101, enabling them to enter Sinclair with foundational math credit, to bypass all developmental math courses, and to enter college remediation free in math. Wed like to double that number of students this year. If youd like to work on a Math 101 plan for your students, contact Beverly Smith, 512-2198.
- Preparation for Accuplacer There are resources available for students who would like to review for Accuplacer
