In 1995 she left teaching and founded a home based business, Hollandays Publishing, a provider of graduation test preparation materials. A graduate of Ohio University and the University of Dayton, Beverly was a member of Clayton City Council for six years and is currently president of the Community Literacy Board of Project Read in Dayton. She is co-author of Ohio Graduation Test Study Guide: Reading and Writing (Orange Frazer Press) and of Problem Solving with Wilbur and Orville (PBS) as well as English and social studies materials for Hollandays Publishing. Beverly will join us as our new Engineering Pathway Manager.

GREENVILLE HIGH SCHOOL CAREER-TECHNICAL CENTER HIGHLIGHTS
Mrs. Butts’ Supply Chain Management (SCM) class held its annual Stage Crew T-Shirt project. During the sale, students experienced the entire supply chain management process. They saw the information flow by contacting the supplier, transmitting the orders, and updating the delivery status. They experienced the product flow as they did promotions and monitored the goods from the supplier. In the final stages of the sale, they handled the financial flow, as they established payment schedules and the transfer of ownership of the goods to the consumer. Shaun Duplessis, a senior SCM student, qualified for a repeat appearance at national Business Professionals of America competition in Dallas, TX.

Auto Technology reports that senior Chris McDowell was named Outstanding Auto Student of the Year and was a finalist for the Jack F. Smith AYES scholarship. The Auto program also received NATEF recertification this year in the areas of brakes, electrical/electronic systems, engine performance, engine repair, heating and air conditioning, manual drive train and axels, suspension and steering, as well as its integrated academic courses of English, math, and science. Also 35% of the juniors will be doing summer internships this year. Recently GHS Auto program was featured in the A/C Delco In Tune Magazine recognizing the program for graduating such highly skilled Auto technicians. For the ninth consecutive year, the presenting Auto team will travel to Kansas City, MO, for national SkillsUSA competition.
