TECHNICAL THEATER STUDENTS ASSIST SINCLAIR
Technical Theater Tech Prep students from Centerville High School spent two afternoons at Sinclair helping to build the set for upcoming production of Macbeth. Scenic Designer and Technical Director, Terry Stump, assigned the students to construct and trim arched doorways, round portals, barred windows and additional items on the set. In addition a few students assisted Lighting Designer Gina Neuerer with the hanging and focusing of theatrical lighting equipment for the production. Prior to specific instructions being given, differences between building methods and materials were discussed. Centerville students worked with Sinclair Theater majors to complete the doorways, portals and other various projects. It was a great learning experience for the Tech Prep students as they learned about new materials, and what can be expected of them should they enter a college level theater program.
