"The MEtaMorph project is an important piece in the long-term workforce development initiatives of the Dayton Region, and the mission for increased growth in the jobs of tomorrow. By working with students throughout their high school years, career development programs offer guidance in career exploration, decision making, and aid students in determining the best option to fit their experience and skills.
The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce has been involved in career development programs like MEtaMorph to help students become aware of their options and help them prepare for the challenges ahead. Projections of future need for a highly educated workforce are very high. This means that more students than ever will be entering college as a first generation college student. With additional guidance from career development programs these students will have higher persistence rates and a better chance at success. This translates into a greater pool of skilled workers which will drive the local economy."
