Lesson 2: Career Interests
What Road Should I Take?
Activity 1: The Road Not Taken
- Access the Kuder
system and register. (Hint: Every student in Ohio can register,
so usernames are limited. Use your last name and the last 4 digits
of your telephone number as your username, and WRITE DOWN YOUR
USERNAME AND PASSWORD IN A SAFE PLACE. You will be able to use
this site for the rest of your life.)
- Read the following three Individual Career Profiles of Dayton
area residents from the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.
- As a class, discuss the three career paths. Be sure to address
the following questions:
- Who truly accomplished their goals and how did they do this?
- Whose career path was the most efficient and why?
- What struggles did the three professionals face? How did they
overcome obstacles?
- To look at other profiles in a career area of interest to
you, go to the Dayton
Area Chamber of Commerce site.
