Activity 1 – Research

In the previous lesson, you narrowed your exploration down to three occupational interests. In this lesson, your challenge is to choose the two you're most interested in and begin researching them. This research will allow you to compare and contrast your choices and select a final occupation on which to focus throughout the career planning process.

Use the following sites to complete the Research Assignment and the Assignment 1 Worksheet.

• Ohio Occupation Information System (requires a log-in and password). After logging in, you will see the OCIS home page. Click on Occupations (in the far left column). The next screen lists many occupations. Select an occupation and click on it. See the Research Assignment (above) for further instructions.
