Now that you've identified various career opportunities related
to your career goal, completed your career assessments and looked
at your post secondary options, you need to begin thinking about
your high school plans and getting a high school diploma.
Your teacher has provided several crucial sources (such as Ohio
graduation requirements, a Ohio Graduation Test [OGT] booklet,
a course offering booklet, a course of study). You need to read
and analyze the graduation facts in them before making any high
school plans. Now you're ready to explore these resources:
- Visit the Ohio
Department of Education and/or Ohio
Academic Standards Web sites for information on graduation
requirements.
- Look in your high school course offering booklet for local
requirements and other options (such as summer school, OGT intervention,
credit redemption, tutoring).
- Look in other sources gathered by your teacher for more graduation
information.
- In your Career
Journal list graduation requirement facts you identified
from these sources. Explain how you know that these facts are
accurate and describe why you believe these sources are credible.
Go to the Career
Journal Rubric to see how you'll be graded for this assignment.
