Taking a Road Trip

Activity 2 Taking a Road Trip to College

What better way to celebrate your graduation from high school than with a road trip? At this point in time, you should have a career or two in mind. Let's hit the road, and you can discover what route is best for you.

Along your road trip you will have seven stops. In order to have a successful road trip, you will need to decide whether or not each stop is something you're interested in. You will record your findings in your Road Trip Organizer. Once you have successfully completed all seven stops and have submitted your travel journal, you will be free to relax at Anita Career's beach party.

To prepare for your trip, you'll need to brainstorm some questions that will help you evaluate each stop and see whether or not it works for you. Some questions you may want to consider are:

  • Does this option provide a program that leads to my career choice?

  • How long does it take to complete the program?

  • Now identify two or three additional questions to ask along the way.

Once you have a list of good questions, copy them into your graphic organizer in your Road Trip Organizer. Once you have that, you are packed and ready for your road trip. Print this page and save it as the first page in your Road Trip Organizer.
