Title: The Bones About Biology

Description: This unit was designed during a TIES experience at the Community Tissue Center due to all of the techniques required during tissue processing. Following directions, accurate measurement, accurate recording of data, using various types of tools and technology are significant skills of all technicians at the Tissue Center. These skills are necessary in numerous occupations and steps can be taken during high school to provide opportunities for students to begin developing some of these skills. This unit is designed and recommended for biology students in grades 9 - 12. It is also recommended that this unit be implemented as an introductory unit to begin the school year.
